Founded: 1898, by the Congregation of the Mission (or Vincentian) religious community, which follows the teachings of 17th century French priest St. Vincent de Paul. The university's mission emphasizes academic excellence, service to the community, access to education and respect for the individual.
DePaul's College of Commerce encompasses the university's undergraduate business program and the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, whose part-time MBA program was ranked sixth in the nation by U.S.News & World Report. The College of Commerce began offering classes in 1913. It was one of the first 10 business colleges in the United States, as well as the first business school in downtown Chicago and the first business school at an American Catholic university.
Acting as Assistant Professor of Management Kellstadt GSB / DePaul University. I had the pleasure to enroll in Dr. Murphy's entrepreneurship class where we not only consulted for various Chicago companies about their business strategies, but we had fun doing it. My team consulted for National Able Network, helping them focus in on their target market, as well as tap into new urban markets with an ease of transition. Professor Murphy is an outstanding leader among the DePaul community, and the most dedicated faculty member i have ever worked with.
